here, the golden yellow sea of flowers dazzles you with their pleasant fragrance. main variety contains sunshine sunflower with green core and yellow petals, super sunflower, peculiar red sunflower and mix color sunflower etc. the most attractive one is “van gogh sunflower” with elliptical petals different from taper petals of others, enabling you experiencing the magic glamour of sunflower of van gogh. up on knowing that guangzhou intended to build million sunflower garden, yokohama municipal government and yokohama children’s arboretum in japan donated ten thousand seed of “van gogh sunflower” for free. all of them have survived through careful cultivation of million sunflower garden. they also imported 18 kinds of ornamental plants from europe and japan, and cultivated some varieties suitable for subtropical area as well as some special sunflowers in color of red and purple through utilizing gene engineering and any other high-tech measures.   

the sunflower garden occupies most area of the theme park. potted russian sunflowers and japanese sunflowers with large petals are placed ahead, followed by great masses of sunflower fields, so grand when looking far away. through controlling the sowing time, sunflowers in different areas have different status of blossoming even in the same season. how wonderful it would be when some flowers are blossoming prosperously while the others have withered. by doing that, million sunflower garden achieves million sunflowers blossoming all year long. the golden sea above the green is under the blue sky and clouds, in which the flowers swaying like the wave in the gentle wind. those sunflowers shows their bright smiles towards the sun, red, yellow, green and white, among which the sunshine sunflower with green core and yellow petal and the super sunflower are the most fantastic.

besides the beautiful scenery of the golden sunflower sea at any moment, the million sunflower garden has another attraction in its squirrel paradise and ant kingdom, both of which are the first nation wide. over 500 cute squirrel cubs live in this fairyland, including common squirrels and large hare’s-ear squirrel. they fit themselves to the surroundings quickly and live quite leisurely. no matter how loud people cheer, they still enjoy the delicious melon seeds without being frightened at all.

doves are raised in the garden. when tourists come,  the raiser will scatter feedstuff on the ground to attract the doves so that tourists can take pictures with them.

the southern seaport of guangzhou is adjacent to the sunflower garden. the only wetland park in guangzhou is just here. thousands of migrants fly over the great cluster of red forests and create natural ecological landscape.
